Второй конкурс Нью-Йоркского Центра Фотоискусства (NYC4PA: NEW YORK CENTER FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC ART) посвящен городским пейзажам. Участвовать могут профессионалы и любители со всего мира. Победителей ждет призовой фонд $3,000 (а про первый конкурс читайте здесь).

Их фото-работы будут показаны на выставке New York Gallery Exhibition, а также войдут в онлайн-галерею NYC4PA Online Gallery и в каталог URBAN LANDSCAPES 2015. Лучший кадр (гран-при) разместят на главной странице  http://www.nyc4pa.com

В сентябре 2015 победители и авторы, отмеченные жюри, получат возможность принять участие в шоу галереи JADITE GALLERY (Манхэттен, район Hell’s Kitchen)  

Тема конкурса: Города, в которых мы живем и которые посещаем...

На конкурс можно предложить изображения, созданные любым фотографическим методом и в любом стиле. Приветствуются экспериментальные и смешанные техники (однако принимаются только 2D-работы).

Каждый город отличается своим ритмом, волнением, образом, - они же их объединяют. Архитектура, улицы, люди и парки составляют пейзажи, украшают город и насыщают эмоциями. Поделитесь своим видением городского пейзажа.

Гран-при: $750, выставка, онлайн-галерея, размещение в каталоге и на главной странице.

Первые места: 3 награды по $300, выставка, онлайн-галерея, размещение в каталоге.

Вторые места: 3 награды по $250, выставка, онлайн-галерея, размещение в каталоге.

Третьи места: 3 награды по $200, выставка, онлайн-галерея, размещение в каталоге.

Выбор жюри: 15 изображений продемонстрируют на выставке, в онлайн-галерее и каталоге.

Почётное упоминание: 20 изображений продемонстрируют в онлайн-галерее и каталоге.

Все победители получат сертификат Нью-Йоркского Центра Фотоискусства.

Для начисления денежных призов призов рекомендуется завести PayPal-аккаунт.

В форме регистрации на конкурс есть поле “Штат” (State). Оно актуально, в первую очередь, для США, и может не заполняться в других странах.   

Регистрационный взнос составит $35 за первые три работы. Можно подавать больше: количество фотографий от одного автора не ограничивается, но если вы отправляете больше, чем три изображения, каждое следующее будет стоить $10.

Не допускаются изображения, уже побеждавшие в проектах NYC4PA.

International Juried Photography Call for Entry  

URBAN LANDSCAPES

NEW YORK CENTER FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC ART

DEADLINE: July 12, 2015 (Midnight Pacific Time)

The New York Center for Photographic Arts (NYC4PA) invites photographers world-wide to submit images using any photographic process (print, image transfer, emulsion transfer, encaustic, black and white, etc.). Winners will receive $3,000 in cash awards, be featured in a New York Gallery Exhibition, on the NYC4PA Online Gallery and in the URBAN LANDSCAPES 2015 catalog. The Grand Prize winning image will be posted on the NYC4PA home page.

We are very excited that Winners and Juror’s Selections will have the opportunity to participate in a gallery show, SEPTEMBER 15 – 26, 2015, at the JADITE GALLERY in the exciting Hell’s Kitchen area in Manhattan.

URBAN LANDSCAPES

The cities we live in, the cities we visit. There is a rhythm, an excitement, a “look” that makes each city different from all others, yet unites them all.Whether it is the architecture, the street scenes, the people or parks, show us the landscapes that make your city beautiful, emotionally stirring, dramatic or whatever it is that you see.  Send us your interpretation of what an Urban Landscape means to you.

EXHIBITION AND AWARDS:
Grand Prize: One photographer will receive $750.  The image will be part of the New York gallery show, the NYC4PA Online Gallery and the exhibition catalog. It will be featured on the home page of NYC4PA website.

  • First Prizes: 3 photographers will each receive $300. Their images will be exhibited in the New York Gallery show, the NYC4PA Online Gallery and in the exhibition catalog.

  • Second Prizes: 3 photographers will each receive $250. Their images will be exhibited in the New York Gallery show, the NYC4PA Online Gallery and in the exhibition catalog.

  • Third Prizes: 3 photographers will each receive $200. Their images will be exhibited in the New York Gallery show, the NYC4PA Online Gallery and in the exhibition catalog.

  • Jurors’ Selections: 15 additional images will be exhibited in the New York Gallery show, the NYC4PA Online Gallery and in the exhibition catalog.

  • Honorable Mention: 20 additional images will be exhibited in the Online Gallery and listed in the exhibition catalog.

*All Prize Winners, Juror Selections and Honorable Mentions will receive an NYC4PA certificate.

ELIGIBILITY:

This Call for Entries is open worldwide to both amateur and professional photographers.  NYC4PA invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Only 2-D work is eligible.

TO ENTER:

The entry fee is $35 for the first three images. Additional images may be submitted for $10 each. There is no limit to the number of images submitted.  

Prepare your images as JPG, TIF, or PNG files not greater than 2MB. The longest side should be between 800 and 1,280 pixels.  Then please go to:  https://client.smarterentry.com/nyc4pa  

PLEASE NOTE – IMAGES SELECTED FOR A PRIZE IN A PREVIOUS NYC4PA CALL FOR ENTRY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.  IF THEY ARE SUBMITTED AND SELECTED BY THE JUROR THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. IMAGES PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED THAT WERE NOT SELECTED FOR A PRIZE MAY BE RESUBMITTED AT ANY TIME.

JUROR: KAY KENNY

Kay received her BFA and MFA from Syracuse and her MA from Rutgers (all in Visual Arts). She is the author of numerous articles for arts magazines, has been a photography instructor for over eighteen years at NYU and the International Center of Photography in New York and a curator of photography exhibits. Her work is included in several museum and corporate collections.

Kay has received numerous awards including Honorable Mention in Fine Arts Photography Lucie Awards in 2009 and was a three-time recipient of the NJSCA fellowship award. She has had many international one-person shows including recent ones in Columbia, Taiwan, Texas and New York City. Recent publications about her work include Photography’s Antiquarian Avant-Garde, by Lyle Rexer, Light & Lens,Photography in the Digital Age, & Photographic Possibilities by Robert Hirsch, as well as several other photography books.

Her co-curated exhibit (with Orville Robertson) “Manifestations: Photographs of Men”, opened at the Southeast Museum of Photography in 2004. Collections include Pfizer Corporation; The Buhl Collection; Southern Alleghenies Museum; Colombo Centro Americano, Medellin, Colombia; Prudential Insurance Company; Milwaukee Art Museum; Bristol-Meyers Squibb; Taiwan Photo-Fest, Taipei, Taiwan; Nantong Museum, China; Brooklyn Museum Artist Books Collection; Newark Public Library Artist Books Collection; Philadelphia Free Public Library; PNC Corp.; and Provident Bank.

All entrants to NYC4PA Open Calls for Entry, by virtue of their submission, are attesting that the images submitted are their own work and there has been no copyright infringement.  NYC4PA will not be held liable for any infringement of rights that might surface during the jurying or displaying of any image.  

By submitting you grant NYC4PA the right to use your image(s) for promotion and advertisement of NYC4PA as well as inclusion in the NYC4PA catalog if the image is prize winning, juror selection or honorable mention.

Images selected by jurors for Prizes, Juror's Selection or Honorable Mention in a previous NYC4PA international call for entry are not eligible. Images previously submitted but not selected may be resubmitted as often as you wish.

AWARDS:

Should your award notification or prize be returned as undeliverable, NYC4PA will not resend the notice (whether by the same or another method,) research your address nor make any further attempts at delivery, and your submission will be deemed ineligible. Please be careful when entering all your contact information.

NYC4PA would prefer to remit cash awards through a PayPal transfer. If you do not have a PayPal account to which we can remit your award, please contact us for alternate arrangements.

MAILING LISTS:

As a submitter NYC4PA will include you in future mailings and announcements. If you would prefer NOT to be on our mailing list please log onto  http://www.nyc4pa.com/#!contact and ask to be removed.

NON U.S. APPLICANTS:

Our entry software has an address field for the state you live in. This applies to the US and several other countries - if you do not have “state” as part of your address simply leave that field blank - it is not mandatory.
