Организатор конкурса  World Standards Cooperation приглашают дизайнеров и иллюстраторов принять участие в конкурсе. Задача - создать плакат, приуроченный к 14 октября (Всемирный День Стандартов). Тема для плаката: " Less waste, better results – Standards increase efficiency " (Меньше затрат, лучше результаты - Стандарты увеличивают эффективность). Главный приз - 1500 швейцарских франков (примерно $1600). Участие в конкурсе бесплатное.

The competition is organized by the World Standards Cooperation (WSC), which comprises the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

The designer(s) of the best poster will win 1 500 Swiss francs, with the three runners-up receiving 500 Swiss francs each.

To compete, designers should send their entries in .jpg or .png format to the following e-mail address: wsdposter@worldstandardscooperation.org . Submissions will be accepted until 10 May 2012.

IEC, ISO and ITU representatives will choose the finalists. The shortlisted entries will be published on the WSC Website, and the general public invited to choose the winning designs. Voting will open on 14 May and close on 18 May, and the winners will be announced shortly after. People can follow the World Standards Day poster competition on Twitter and Facebook.

The WSC partners comment, “We hope this competition will fuel fruitful conversations about the value of standards for increasing efficiency, while promoting a spirit of openness and engagement with the public. We are very excited to see your inspiring creations!”

The World Standards Cooperation was set up in 2001 in order to strengthen and advance the voluntary consensus-based international standards systems of IEC, ISO and ITU. Each year on 14 October, the members of the IEC, ISO and ITU celebrate World Standards Day, to recognize the collaborative efforts of the thousands of experts worldwide who develop the voluntary technical agreements that are published as international standards.
